Top 5 Update

Our Top 5 leader is back with a trio of quality strip mine bass, and I found a couple good bites on the Hennepin Canal. While none of our catches boosted our totals, it sure is good to have a handful of November bass for another Top 5 Update.

Sure can’t beat the warm weather this late in the year and happy to have it relate to some good bites. Looks like the weather isn’t going to be so friendly as we head into next weekend so get out there if you can during the week. Talk to you later. Troy

  1. Very nice catches. My boyfriend and I were on the Hennepin yesterday as well. Tried all different colors of wacky worms and couldn’t even get a bite. Switched to Texas rig 4″ black w/blue flake and he caught 4 or 5. I caught zero😅
It was a beautiful day to be out fishing

    1. Well done on changing up the presentation to get some bites. From the pics I saw on FB from your outing, I was several miles to both sides of where you were fishing. This is my first full year of fishing The Canal and I hit it pretty hard. It is an interesting fishery with each pool having its own personality and the conditions change considerably over the course of the year. Stay tuned on the blog as I post a series of fishing stat wrap-ups after the first of the year. Plenty of other stuff in the meantime, too.
